An inflation adapter (a dunnage bag inflation device) is the connector that links a pressurized air source — a compressor, air gun, or portable air pump — to the dunnage bag's valve. Also referred to as a container dunnage bag inflation device, this equipment cannot deliver safe, fast inflation unless the connection is made correctly, which is why choosing an adapter compatible with the valve type matters. Since different manufacturers' dunnage bags may use either quick-connect or integrated-cap valve mechanisms, businesses carrying mixed stock benefit from choosing an adapter with interchangeable tips, reducing the range of equipment they need to keep on hand.

Maintenance

Regularly clearing dust and moisture from the inflation device's air inlet and outlet points keeps inflation speed consistent and slows wear on the tip that contacts the valve. If the sealing rings (O-rings) become hardened or cracked, they should be replaced, since this can cause the device to leak air.
